Help us Help Kids

In just three minutes we had an ambulance.

Such is the generosity of the Humpty Dumpty Foundation’s business and community leaders who gathered at Sydney’s Four Seasons Hotel for the charity’s annual “Good Egg” lunch last Thursday March 6.

Our Chairman’s Wish of buying a NETS Ambulance for the transportation of seriously ill infants was supposed to be a year long goal, but thanks to our most active supporters we achieved it within the opening minutes of our lunch.

So too was the Humpty Wish list with equipment purchased for more than 40 NSW hospitals and for our off-shore project in East Timor.

Those Wish List items bought included Neopuff Infant Resuscitators for John Hunter and Manning Hospitals and Phototherapy lights for the Dili National Hospital.

In what was described by chairman Paul Francis as "mind blowing", Humpty’s supporters once again proved their devotion to helping sick kids throughout NSW kicking-off our 2008 fund raising in great style.

"To think we could purchase a $150,000 ambulance in just minutes is outstanding," he said.

"It goes to show just how much good there is in our community – and we are so fortunate those people are what we call our Good Eggs."

The generosity of the Humpty Dumpty Foundation’s "Good Eggs" is overwhelming, inspiring, spine tingling. It left most in the ballroom at the Four Seasons shaking their head in amazement at the generosity of our community when it comes to helping sick kids.

Those close to the charity say they will never quite get used to it. But, the stories of those families saved by Humpty equipment make the hard work worthwhile.

We thank the Ettridge, Simpson, Gordon families for joining our lunch, their children are testimony to the success of the Humpty Dumpty Foundation and to help our supporters see where their money goes.

A big thank you to all our supporters who helped make the Good Egg Lunch so successful.
