When

The Balmoral Burn Race Day will be held on Sunday 1 June, 2008 with registration opening at 8.00am

Where

The start line for the Balmoral Burn is at the bottom of Awaba Street, Balmoral. The course is 420 meters straight up Awaba Street hill. The finishing line is located just before the round about and the Moruben Road intersection and Awaba Street. See course map below

Who can enter

Anyone. You will find that there is a race category for everyone.

How to Register

There a couple of ways to register:

  • On line - via Humpty’s website www.humpty.com.au
  • On the day – you are able to register for an event on the day. Please ensure you register at least 45 mins prior to your race time.

Registrations open from 8.00am (see race categories and start times)

Registration Closing Dates

On-line – all on-line registrations will close on Friday 30 May at 5.00pm.

Please note – you can register on the morning of Sunday 1 June.

Entry Fees

Individual entry fees per event are as follows:

  • Adults: $25
  • Children U16 (includes Primary School Challenge): $10
  • Parent & Child race: $40 per family
  • Senior “Head of the Hill” Team Relay: $150 per team

The Official Race Presentation will take place at approximately 12.30pm in Edwards Reserve.

Fundraising for Humpty

Merchandise

Humpty Dumpty merchandise will be available to purchase on Sunday 1 June. The merchandise stall will be located at the bottom of Awaba Street and will sell caps, t-shirts and many other goodies for the family.

For the Kids

The Balmoral Burn is a fantastic family day at Balmoral Beach. There will be a jumping castle, kindifarm, Reptile Up Close and clowns. And of course Humpty Dumpty will be appearing.

Road Closures

Sunday 1 June – 6.00am to 1.00pm the following roads will be closed

Awaba Street and all the following adjoining side streets will be closed – Waitovu Street, Lavoni Street, The Grove and Stanley Ave. There will be two Traffic Controllers on stand by at Stanley Ave to manage the cross over traffic from the northern end of Stanley Ave.

Parking and Public Transport

Due to the number of road closure it is anticipated that there will be a minimal amount of street parking available. Please be advised that if parking on the street please adhere to parking information times as fines will be enforced.

A Shuttle Service will operate available from all Mosman Council car parks between 10am-3pm.

It is recommended that public transport be used to and from the event.

Results

Participants will be able to view their race times from 3pm on Sunday 1 June at www.humpty.com.au
